Dr. Luis Santiago Nasiff M.D. FACP, FACG

Career
Dr. Nasiff is the program director of the gastroenterology program at Larkin Community Hospital- Palm Springs Campus. He is a board-certified internal medicine and gastroenterology physician with over 25 years of experience practicing general gastroenterology. He also specializes in GERD, colon cancer screening and pancreaticobiliary disorders. He is affiliated with numerous hospitals around Miami and Hialeah including, Coral gables hospital, Palmetto General hospital, Hialeah Hospital and Jackson Medical Center.
Dr. Juan Carlos Sarol M.D

Career
Dr. Sarol is a board-certified physician specializing in gastroenterology, with over 20 years’ clinical experience in his field. Dr. Sarol graduated from the Universidad De Ciencias Medicas De La Habana in 1983 and went on to complete his residency at Orlando Health. He is currently the Assistant Program Director of Larkin Community Hospital-Palm Springs Campus. His special interests include GERD, biliary and pancreatic diseases, colon cancer screening, as well as he specializes in advanced therapeutic biliary procedures such as ERCP.
Dr. Karthik Mohan D.O
Career
Dr. Mohan is a board-certified physician who specializes in gastroenterology. He is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. Dr. Mohan has over 10 years-experience in his field specializing in colonoscopy, endoscopic examinations and pancreaticobiliary diseases. He performs advanced therapeutics, such as endoscopic ultrasound and ERCP. Dr. Mohan is the Program director for Larkin Community Hospital, South Miami campus and serves as a faculty for Palm Springs Campus. He is also affiliated with Palmetto Hospital and Hialeah General Hospital.
Dr. Hugh D Mai M.D. AGAF, FACG, FASGE
Career
Dr. Hugh D. Mai is a gastroenterologist in Veterans Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/St Paul Medical Center and his gastroenterology fellowship in the University of Arizona. He has been in practice for more than 20 years and specializes in advanced therapeutic endoscopy interventions such as EUS, ERCP, and biliary and pancreatic diseases.
Dr. Linoj Panicker, D.O
Career
Dr. Linoj Panicker is a board-certified internal medicine and gastroenterologist, where he currently practices in the Veteran Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL. He graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and has nine years of experience practicing medicine. Dr. Linoj Panicker, DO special interests include colon cancer screening, GERD, and diseases of the liver.
Dr. Hayden Aaron, M.D

Dr. Aaron is a board-certified physician in internal medicine and gastroenterology, with over 25 years of clinical practice. Dr. Aaron graduated from University of the West Indies faculty of Medical Sciences and continued to internal medicine residency followed by Gastroenterology Fellowship in SUNY Heath Science Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Aaron is a faculty at West Palm Beach Veterans Affairs, where is he heavily involved in teaching fellows and residents. His area of interest include Barretts Esophagus, Colorectal cancer screening, Video Capsule endoscopy, and therapeutic endoscopy, such as ERCP.
Dr. Curtis Scott, M.D
Career
Dr. Scott is a board-certified internal medicine and gastroenterology specialist in West Palm VA Medical Center. He serves as the Chair of Gastroenterology in West Palm Beach VA Medical Center and is one of the academic faculty. He has over 25 years of clinical experience in gastroenterology and has several academic and administrative roles. He specializes in colorectal cancer screening, Barretts esophagus ablation, and therapeutic endoscopy, such as ERCP.
Dr. Jose Luis Proenza, M.D
Career
Dr. Proenza is a teaching faculty at the West Palm Beach Veteran affair medical center. He has over 25 years of clinical experience and is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. His specializes in colorectal cancer screening, Barrett’s esophagus, Inflammatory bowel Disease and GERD. He graduated from Universidad de Salamanca and completed his internal medicine residency in Mercy Catholic Medical Center followed by gastroenterology fellowship in albert Einstein Healthcare Network.
Dr. Alexander Restrepo, D.O
Career
Dr. Alexander Restrepo is a board-certified gastroenterologist and one of the teaching faculties at the West Palm Beach Veterans Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University – College of Osteopathic Medicine and went to receive his internal medicine residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (Beth Israel) and Gastroenterology fellowship in Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Morningside. He has been in practice for more than 20 years. Gastroenterologists diagnose and treat digestive disorders, such as GERD, constipation, Crohn’s disease, and Hepatology.
Dr. Xaralambos “Bobby” Zervos, D.O
Career
Dr. Zervos is the associate direct for the abdominal transplant center, as well as serves as the chair and medical director of the liver transplant program In Cleveland Clinic Florida, in Weston, Florida. Dr. Zervos received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine followed by internal medicine residency in UPMC Mercy Hospital of Pittsburg, and residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He obtained his gastroenterology fellowship at University of Miami school of Medicine-Jack Memorial Hospital, followed by a year of subspeciality in Hepatology.
Dr. Mark Stephen Avila, M.D, MBA, FACG, AGAF
Career
Dr. Mark Avila is a board-certified hepatology and gastroenterology specialist with over 20 years of experience. He went to the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his internal medicine residency at Tucson Hospitals Medical Education Program. He obtained a Hepatology Fellowship at the University of Miami School of Medicine, then completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Florida. Dr. Avila also completed a Masters of Business Administration program at the University of Miami. Dr. Avila has also served on the Florida Board of Medicine after his appointment by then Governor Bush. He has been in private practice at the Center for Digestive Medicine, where he is active in clinical trials involving therapy for Hepatitis C and gastroenterologic diseases.
Dr. Marti Echols, Med, PhD
Career
Dr. Marti Echols, Med, PhD is the Vice president of Research and Academic Affairs at Larkin Community Hospital and Larkin Community Hospital Palm Springs Campus. Dr. Echols has an extensive background in higher education, developing and establishing new study programs, as well as regional and programmatic accreditation. She has over 10 years of experience in her previous role as assistant dean of Nova Southeastern University and numerous other accolades, serving different roles within medical education.
