PROGRAM DESIGN
The program is structured to provide a strong foundation in CLINICAL rheumatology. The emphasis is on the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatology diseases in a real-life clinical practice environment. Every patient seen is viewed as a learning experience, with the case presented to the faculty, and then discussed. We have formal didactic training Wednesdays during the lunch hour and on Friday mornings. Didactics include text book review, journal club, guest lecturers, board review, discussions pertaining to the business of medicine (billing, legal obligations, medical ethics, advocacy) and additional topics.
