The program’s design is carefully crafted to provide comprehensive training in dermatology. This training spans three years and covers various essential aspects. It primarily focuses on principles of diagnosis and treatment, taking place predominantly in a community-based environment.

Here, residents work alongside nationally and internationally recognized attending physicians who are board-certified dermatologists, facilitating invaluable hands-on experience. Furthermore, the program offers direct access to a dermatopathology lab and instruction from board-certified Dermatopathologists. Additionally, it ensures exposure to different specialties within dermatology, featuring renowned faculty members in specific fields of expertise. This extensive clinical exposure equips our residents with the knowledge and experience essential for versatile practice in various clinical settings upon graduation. Our program has dedicated Education/Didactics directed towards helping our residents optimally perform on the ABD (American Board of Dermatology) Basic Exam (PGY-2 residents), pass the ABD Core Exams (Dermatopathology, Medical Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology, Surgical Dermatology) for PGY-3 and PGY-4 residents, and prepare for the Applied Exam upon graduation. Education/Didactics includes Weekly Clinical-Pathological Correlation sessions with dermatopathologists, Weekly Kodachrome sessions, Monthly Journal Clubs, and Monthly Grand Rounds.
