Didactics
Internal Medicine didactics are based on the requirements and curriculum placed by the ACOI. Each Wednesday, the residents meet for didactics from 8am to 12pm. Every week there is a noon lecture consisting of: Tumor Board, Grand Rounds, Surgery Rounds, and Quality Improvement.
Journal Club is held once a month, usually the second Wednesday of the month. Each resident is required to present a journal article. Each month, an Attending in different specialties is present to stimulate discussion.
Board Review is incorporated into the didactics. GME provides us with multiple resources for studying material including the latest version of MKSAP questions. Residents have access to the NSU electronic library, which includes an electronic version of Harrison’s Principle of Internal Medicine.
Morning reports are held every Monday to Friday at 7am. There is an Attending every day that supervises the case presentation.
