PROGRAM DESIGN

The Larkin Community Hospital PSC Sports Medicine Fellowship is a dynamic and rigorous one-year program meticulously crafted to offer a comprehensive academic and clinical foundation for those aspiring to embark on a career as a Sports Medicine Physician. Dr. John Maarouf is the program director of the fellowship, overseeing a close collaboration between Sports Medicine fellows and the esteemed faculties specializing in Sports Medicine, Neuro-musculoskeletal Medicine, and Orthopedic Surgery across the South Florida region. Throughout the fellowship duration, participants will have the opportunity to apply and refine their Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) skills while honing their expertise in managing musculoskeletal injuries and conditions prevalent among athletes. Additionally, the Sports Medicine Fellow assumes the responsibility of providing healthcare services to local high school teams, youth sports organizations, professional sports entities, and offering ringside medical coverage for both amateur and professional combat sports within the local area.
