PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Larkin Community Hospital Palm Springs Campus Dermatology residency (LECOMT-OPTI) is a three-year program that has received ACGME accreditation. In April 2020, we were granted a 10-year reaccreditation. Our dermatology residency program is ACGME-approved and includes graduates from Osteopathic Medical Schools as well as domestic and international Allopathic Medical Schools.
Our program offers comprehensive training for residents starting from the moment a new resident joins. Our mission is to cultivate exceptional leaders in dermatology, promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), drive innovation, and advance research. We provide compassionate cutting-edge patient care locally in South Florida and globally, with a DEI focus. We understand the impact of location, demographics, and socio-economic factors on health needs, integrating this knowledge into our curriculum to eliminate disparities, improve public health, and empower our graduates. Our guiding principles prioritize personal and professional growth, collaboration, and lifelong learning, reflecting our commitment to diversity and fairness. We aim to create a healthier, more equitable world by combining dermatology leadership with a focus on health disparities.
