Larkin Community Hospital congratulates the General Surgery Residency Program on a successful trip to the Annual Clinical Assembly of Osteopathic Surgeons at the JW Marriott in Phoenix, Arizona!

Scott Moradian, DO, PGY-4 General Surgery Resident, was selected amongst the country to present a new skin grafting technique, “Minced Edge Transposition Graft,” the second type of new skin grafting technique he helped design in his surgical residency with mentors Andrew M. Klapper, MD and Anthony N. Dardano, DO, both of which are plastic surgeons at our affiliated teaching hospital, Delray Medical Center. Dr. Moradian won first place at the podium this year and was honored with winning first place last year which is the first time a general surgery resident has won back-to-back podium presentations in General Surgery at the Annual Clinical Assembly of Surgeons. Last year’s presentation was on the Minced Expansion Graft, a type of split-thickness graft. Norman Rose, DO, FACOS, FICS Academic Director, and Mohammad Masri, MD, FACS Program Director also participated in the project.
